Assignment3!!!

Today we got into teams for the 3rd assignment. I am in a team with Dominicus and Steven and combined we are... Danger-Team-Cyber-Action-Power-Force-Squad!!!!

Instead of choosing just one of our game ideas, we have decided to combine the best elements of all our ideas to make a super game!

Our ideas were:

Dominicus: 1984 by George Orwell
Steven: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger
Angie: Symphonie Fanastique by Hector Berlioz

After analysing all of our stories, we realised that they all shared similar themes. For example they are all tragedy's. At this point in time we have also decided to create 3 parallel worlds that the player will be able to traverse. The real world ( set in the 1950's), A dream/ hallucination world (set in the 1800's) and a hypnosis induced world (Set in a 'futuristic' 1984).

The main aim of the game at this point is to find the whereabouts of a woman who you keep seeing in your dreams, hallucinations etc.

Steven has the mind map and notes that we wrote down so once I get a hold of them on Monday I'll post them up here and we should have a team blog up by then as well so stay tuned!

Assignment 2 fin

Wooo! So assignment 2 was done and dusted on sunday and now its time for the fun stuff! Hopefully groups can be decided on this thursday in class and then we can get down to buisness. I'm excited! But it seems that there are a few people who are significantly less so... Either way it'll be interesting to see where people take their ideas and if we end up with any super crazy combinations of stories. I'm keen to see my idea get developed further but I'm happy to work on anything. If mine doesnt get chosen I think I'll work on it in my spare time anyway :)
